Darth Vader visits North Shields

Movie fans of all ages are invited to join in the fun at Moving Image Toys in The Beacon Shopping Centre, North Shields on Saturday the 21st of June.

Dave Prowse, the man behind the mask of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars movies will be appearing to meet fans & sign autographs.

We will also be holding a raffle to win an extra special prize personally signed by Dave Prowse, all proceeds of which will go directly to the NSPCC.

Star Wars costume characters will also be making an appearance, so don't forget to bring your camera.

Moving Image Toys have been supplying Movie memorabilia, toys & collectables for the past six years and just over a year ago moved into the Beacon Centre becoming an established retailer both online and in their store.

Owner of Moving Image Toys, Alex Holt explained:

Alex invited me to come down in costume, i may bring it along and wear it if i get the courage up, also a bit worried about transporting it.

Also said i'd give him a hand sorting the shop out the night before, and if he needs any help on the day so hopefully we'll actually get to meet.

well my armor pretty much done. all i really need is a more accurate holster and one or too tiny mods. put all the padding in the other night and am going to test fit it this weekend, also going to put some new pics up in the photopost.
