well umm i think yoda would have to take luke's place in the films- but then fail at the end

althought he would need a booster-seat if he was going to piolet a x-wing in the battle of yavin

Luke joining Vader to topple Palpy would be an interesting alternative. There are probably fan fictions out there that explore that idea.
