I'm just wondering who's using the latest Firefox (version 3)? What do you think of it? Tried the new bookmarks feature? (If you're not sure, click on that star in the address bar. Click it again to set keywords.

I've been using it since beta 3, and was really happy with it. Yes, I've also tried IE7, though I do run into a key issue for my guild. For some reason, my RaidTracker is giving some IE7 users problems with cookies. I have no clue why--only how to fix the issue. Problem doesn't seem to exist with any other browser, including IE6.

I've been using some version of Firefox since before it was Firefox (the old Firebird days). So far I like this new version. There's an extension you can get that opens IE within Firefox, if you have to view a page in IE.

I am not sure what you mean about the new bookmarks feature. I clicked on the star and nothing happened. When I right-clicked on it, I got elements that I could place on my toolbar. I don't really need those, so I didn't use any of them.

All in all, though, I like Firefox 3.

From a web developer/application designer's point of view, IE8 will be a pain. A List Apart and Microsoft has said if you don't want your pages locked in "legacy" mode (that is how it looks in IE7), you'll need to add a line in the <head> section or in the headers:
Code:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />

Read more in this article.

Patricia, that star turns yellow when you bookmark a page. Click on it when it's yellow, and you can move the bookmark, and/or give it some tags.

huh?

Seriously, you lost me. I don't know what you mean by that. Unless you're referring back to the NS4/IE4 browser wars.

FF3 is miles better than IE7. The process (iexplore.exe) never finishes when I close it.

Nope, though I just got Crisis Core (FFVII prequel) last week as my birthday present to myself, and hooked on the game.
