Our rating season starts again in Aus this week, and there are a few new shows that I've heard a lot about - Heroes, for instance. Made me wonder, then, what some of your favourite shows are, the ones you never miss? Any like Heroes or The Nine make your list?

Some of mine:
24
House
Law & Order/SVU/CI
Without a Trace
Tripping Over
Scrubs
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Sea of Souls
Stargate/Atlantis

I honestly wish there was something I was hooked on with TV but with work and working on this site and family time I don't watch a lot of TV but like to watch the odd DVD now and again.

I really need to move to Britain. Because all the stuff I like is British TV. "Midsomer Murders" is an especially favorite guilty pleasure. And I love the music they write for that series.

Britain can suck for tv sometimes. Watching an episode of Grey's Antomy a few weeks back and it had a cliffhanger episode. A friend who watches it aswell asked me did I think of the characters died. I happened to see an articale about the actor plays thet character and found site with the episode guides. I was annoyed to find out that, that episode was shown last July in... Bulgaria.
The 2nd season has just finished here and we are so far behind - I think the US had about 4 episodes of season 3 left to air

And NYPD Blue (now finished in the US) is a few years behind because they stopped showing it after 9/11 because the twin towers are in the opening credits

Of course. Another interesting aspect of Midsomer Murders is that there's not just a superb score; music is an intricate part of the setting of the stories.

I didn't like Battlestar Galatica, the documentary-style made the space battles look rubbish, I couldn't stand it frown

I'd say recently:
Supernatural
Doctor Who- writing isn't as good as it used to be but its like a car crash, you just can't look away.
Smallville
CSI- the few occasions I get to see it
Poirot

Although I really miss:
Dead Zone
Monk
Dark Angel

I didn't get into it either, probably for the same reason. Too much shaky camera and too many stories to follow that cut into other stories too quickly.

T III:
I with you there with 'Poirot', good show and acting.
