I think the tweaks in the digitally re-mastered versions certainly add to the enjoyment. For example in ANH the 'Search for the droids' and 'Mos Eisley' scenes are pretty cool, the more realistic explosions of course also add to the feel. Really when you think about it even un-touched The Trilogy hasn't dated. Long Live The Original Trilogy.......

i agree with pruneface, certain elements from the redone versions improve them, and others spoil it. not a fan of the jabba music vid or the end tune in jedi.
but things like the clearer view of the wampa and the more detailed bespin are way better than they were.

Also I did enjoy it being on ITV yesterday. Its funny because even though I can (and do) watch it on dvd anytime I still always have to watch it if its on terrestrial
