LICHFIELD, ENGLAND - 26th FEBRUARY 2010 - With the imminent launch of the newly minted Lightsabre site we are keen to not only forge ahead with new content and concepts, but to also honour our past endeavors and efforts.

As part of this plan we're proud to present to you the Legacy Site, a complete archive of all the news, reviews, articles, links, artwork, interviews and fiction compiled over the 10 active years at our old address and from the 17 years prior to that in the days before the internet and Lightsabre was around.

As the countdown towards the May 20th launch of the full site continues, we are keen for our past readers to continue enjoying the work we have compiled in the past, as well as following our progress over at our Facebook Fan Page, Twitter feed and holding page, the details of which can be found at www.lightsabre.org.uk.

All content on Lightsabre.org.uk is copyright the respective authors. Original content dates back to May 1982. The first Lightsabre website was established in 1999 by Mark Newbold, Louis Turfrey, Jonathan Hicks and Paul Squire.

Mark Newbold is the Content Manager of Lightsabre and has a decade of experience running a major UK Star Wars site. He has been published in the Star Wars Insider, had articles on the Official Site and interviewed over 150 stars and fans of the saga.

Matthew Turvey is the Technical Director of Lightsabre and is the owner and MD of Firefly Red, who's previous and current projects include admiralmotti.co.uk, Metropolitan Community Church of Windsor and mystonemerchant.com.
