Regular visitors to
GEN will know I don't do a lot of reviews but I'll try and rectify that in the future.
Mind you, don't expect anything TOO wordy, I'm just a film fan not a paid critic!
I suppose being a Father now, that films like
Extraordinary Measures hit me a little harder in the heart than they used to these days.
Brendan Fraser puts in a stellar performance as
John Crowley, a man who will stop at nothing to try and save his childrens lives from a rare genetic disorder.
Ably assisted by a gruff
Harrison Ford as
Dr. Stonehill, we're taken on a journey of two very different men who are striving for the same result.
I really enjoyed
Extraordinary Measures and it is a fine first film for
CBS Films and
Mr Fords first foray as an Executive Producer.
A well written script, well acted by a great supporting cast and a nice linear tale to the happy ending that I'm pleased to say is inspired by true life events.
Well worth a watch, oh and take a hanky!!!
